Description: This is a flyer that I designed for my Visual Media class this week. I was given the information, picture, logo and was assigned to design the layout. The layout had to fit in with the P-A-R-C-F principles (Proximity Alignment Repetition Contrast and Flow) to create a visually appealing image to the target audience. As many of you may know, I am always taking pictures, pictures of people and pictures of design that I enjoy or find interesting. A few months ago I went out to Dinner for a friend’s Birthday when one of my roommates pointed out the light fixture, me, being me felt the need to snap a picture of the fixture. Ever since then I’ve been noticing light fixtures even more than before and feel the need to take a picture of every light fixture that I enjoy! I’m back at home for the summer, my semester ended about a week ago. I’m waiting to hear from a company concerning the job I would like. While I have the time I decided I should post about a project I have been working on all semester long! The Rexburg Business Expo was Tuesday April 11th of 2013. I was able to assist the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce in producing the Business Expo as well as four other students. I was able to participate in the planning process of the Business Expo through my Events Management class, this was a great opportunity because planning real and valuable events is what I would like to do with my future. I have officially changed my Major to Communications last week! My focus is going to be in Public Relations and I am taking a Unit in Advertising/Marketing. I have been thinking about being an Event Planner for almost a year now, but I still felt like Interior Design needed to be a useful and important aspect in my career. I am currently taking an Events Management class, I think this is what I want to do with my future so I figured I better take the class because I don’t like wasting any time when it comes to my future.
