Symbolic Design

My junior year of high school I was assigned to write a paper about anything that related to the renaissance era. I knew there were many subjects I could have chosen from.  I decided to chose a subject that was a little more difficult to research that I was interested in: Renaissance Jewelry.

I was also required to put together a presentation for my paper. I have been making jewelry since I was eight years old so I decided that I was going to make a renaissance styled necklace.

I believe this particular piece symbolizes me because of the work that went into the item. I would rather accomplish something difficult that is interesting to me than to do something that is easy and boring for me.

I enjoy spending time in my schooling, design work, and other large projects when I can see a result. Being able to see my work come together and create something spectacular is the greatest feeling in the world to me. I love being able to look back at my work and know what I am capable of creating. I also love being able to see how far I have come in developing my talents.

I am a very driven person who has goals and aspires to express my creativity in a unique way.  You would see that I did not copy the product if I were able to show you what this necklace was originally modeled after. I followed the design style and made it my own. The necklace I had modeled after my own however did not resemble the one I created.

I also believe that this necklace resembles me because of it’s classical style. I love items that are timeless and will be beautiful forever. Classical style has made an impact on this world and will forever be remembered, just as I would like to make my mark on this world for the better.
