Panoramic in the Park
This week I took a few photographs in the park, I combined 3 images into one using the photo merge option in photoshop to create panoramic images and cleaned up the images using a content aware option, cloning and patching. Here are two panoramic images I created:
By The Playground
This was taken in a park by my house, I really liked having part of the yellow slide in the image and the blue water sprinkler those little sparks of color really made the image. The building is a carousel station open during the summer. Merging these images wasn’t that difficult, there was part of the image that I was unable to properly fill and blend so I cropped it. I brightened the colors and adjusted the levels bringing in more contrast.
Here are the images I used to create the image above:
1. By the Playground 1: Feb. 5th 2014, 5:36pm, Porter Park, Rexburg Idaho, Nikon D3100, f/9, Shutter speed 1/320sec*
2. By the Playground 2: Feb. 5th 2014, 5:36pm, Porter Park, Rexburg Idaho, Nikon D3100, f/8, Shutter speed 1/250sec*
3.By The Playground 3: Feb. 5th 2014, 5:36pm, Porter Park, Rexburg Idaho, Nikon D3100, f/7.1, Shutter speed 1/200sec*
A Walk through the Park
The three images used in this panoramic blended much better, the content aware option was able to pick up a lot more of the image, I didn’t have to fix much of this image as far as filling in the missing spaces the photo merge didn’t pick up. I used a warming filter to get rid of some of the blue undertones from the snow, I also changed the hue and saturation so blue was not a dominant color. I chose to focus on the red in the picture so I brought out the red hues under hue and saturation.
These are the three images used to create the image above:
1. A Walk through the Park 1, Feb. 5th 2014, 5:35pm, Porter Park, Rexburg Idaho, Nikon D3100 f/8, Shutter speed 1/250sec*
2. A Walk through the Park 2, Feb. 5th 2014, 5:36pm, Porter Park, Rexburg Idaho,Nikon D3100, f/8, Shutter speed 1/250sec*
3. A Walk through the Park 3, Feb 5th, 2014, 5:36pm, Porter Park, Rexburg Idaho, Nikon D3100 f/8 , Shutter speed 1/250sec*
*all of this information came from Photoshop but may not be correct, all of these were shot in aperture priority and some of these were shot before the time listed.

I really like these park photos. It looks like it came together well for you! I really like the first panoramic photo because of the light coming in from the upper left corner. The snow also came in pretty well. I’m usually so frustrated with working with snow in my photos, so good job and making it look good! Great job on your composition. Overall, GREAT JOB!
